Streams encoded with H.264 and AAC — the overwhelming majority — are repackaged into .mp4. Some sites use newer codecs (VP9, AV1, HEVC); those still download, as .ts. If that matters for a site you rely on, try the free version there first.

Chrome's extension rules changed, and much of this category broke or was pulled because it depended on APIs Google removed. Media Sniffer was written from scratch against the current rules — not patched to survive them.

Which payment methods can I use?
Your PayPal balance, or a credit or debit card. You do not need a PayPal account — on the payment page, choose "Pay with Debit or Credit Card" to check out as a guest. The exact options depend on your country and appear on the PayPal page.
Is this a subscription?
No. It is a single one-time payment. There is nothing to cancel, and you will never be charged again.
I heard Premium unlocks for free. Is that true?
Yes. After 100 completed downloads, Premium unlocks permanently at no cost — no key, no email, it simply switches on. A heavy user reaches that in a few weeks; an occasional one may never. Buying a license gets you there today, works on a brand-new install, and supports development. Both routes give you identical features.
Will it work on every site?
No, and anyone claiming otherwise is guessing. Media Sniffer saves media the page actually delivers to your browser, so it cannot help with sites that use DRM (Netflix, Disney+ and similar are refused outright), nor with sites that build their stream URLs in ways it cannot observe. The free version detects exactly what the paid one does — so test your sites first, then decide.
How do I activate the license?
Open the Media Sniffer popup, click the gear icon, and paste the key from your email. Premium features unlock immediately in that browser and any other browser where you enter the key.
How do refunds work?
Reply to your PayPal receipt email within 14 days of purchase and say you'd like a refund. The full amount is returned to your original payment method — no forms, no reasons required.
Who is the seller?
Media Sniffer is sold by Zenith Strategy Group LLC. That's the name you'll see on the PayPal checkout page and on your statement.
